Our Story
For nearly a decade, I worked inside the world of big telecom. I knew the systems, I knew the scripts — and slowly, I started seeing something that bothered me more and more.
Every day, real people — many of them seniors — were calling in, frustrated and confused. They'd sit on hold for forty-five minutes just to reach a real person. Then they'd be told a technician could come out sometime next week... maybe. Meanwhile, their TV didn't work, their WiFi was down, or they couldn't figure out why their phone kept locking them out.
These weren't unreasonable people. They just needed someone to sit with them, speak plainly, and actually fix the problem — without making them feel foolish for asking.
So I left. I started User-Friendly Services right here on South Vancouver Island to be exactly that person. No hold music. No ticket numbers. No showing up three days late in a corporate van. Just a neighbour who knows technology, coming to your home when you need help.
